No Zoom tracking with Egripment

The manufacturer of the robotic arm uses the Trackmen protocol, and the lens file has already been selected in the robotic arm's data box, outputting calibrated tracking data. Do I need to do anything in the input settings of Aximmetry? Currently, there is no push-pull tracking, but the tracking works very well at the wide-angle end of the lens. I have enabled "External Lens Data," otherwise the tracking drifts. The "Calib File" and "Zoom Device" options are not selected.

Question:
Given this setup, what adjustments should I make in Aximmetry's input settings to ensure proper zoom tracking?

Hi,

It seems your issue is that the zoom level doesn't change in Aximmetry even though you adjust it on your tracked camera.

To troubleshoot this, try using a single Camera Tracking module in Aximmetry. Check whether the values of the Zoom Sensor and the Zoom Factor pins change when you modify the zoom on your camera. Keep in mind that the Zoom Sensor displays the uncalibrated zoom value, while the Zoom Factor shows the calibrated value. You can find more details here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/tracking/setting-up-the-communication/how-to-set-up-tracking-systems-in-aximmetry/

Warmest regards,

I checked the zoom factor pin,and found out no change after zoom on the real camera, but the tracking works fine on the wide range zoom. Also i change the capble to a vizrt engine , the zoom tracking works fine.

Hi,

I have a few more questions regarding your setup. Does the Zoom Sensor pin output values other than 0, and does it change when adjusting the zoom on the real camera? Are you certain that Vizrt is using calibrated zoom data and that the zoom level matches the setting on the real camera? Additionally, which robotic arm are you using, and which software was used for the Zoom calibration?

In the worst-case scenario, you can perform a Zoom calibration using the Aximmetry Camera Calibrator or Basic Calibrator. However, it would be good to know whether your setup is indeed capable of sending calibrated zoom data, and Aximmetry somehow misses it.

Warmest regards,
